Summer Song 2015

There are two summer schools this year.

July 13-17. Young singers (16-21). An immersive course for upper voices designed to enthuse and inspire, cementing progress already made and enabling rapid development. Five days of concentrated study covering vocal technique, sight-reading/quick study, ensemble/part singing as well as master classes on chosen repertoire.

July 20-24. Classical Song and Opera (music and movement). A concentrated course to help the participants develop their instrument with a particular focus on vocal and physical expression. Course elements include individual coaching sessions, vocal physiology, in depth study of songs and arias plus the opportunity to work on staged Operatic Ensembles and scenes.

Both are at La Châtaigneraie, my home in Limousin, France (Follow the link for more details of the house,) and offer full board, shared accommodation, transfer to and from Limoges airport, and all tuition as well as the opportunity to socialise and share your passion with like minded students. There will also be the opportunity to explore something of  this beautiful region.

Each course is self contained, arriving Sunday and departing Saturday but if you are interested in both a 50% discount is offered for the second week.  There are daily Ryanair flights to Limoges from Stansted as well as regular flights from other UK airports – book early to get the best fare. If you would prefer to drive the journey time is 6-7 hours from Calais. To enable the most personal attention, numbers are limited to a maximum of ten each week.

The basic cost is £500 (£100 non refundable deposit once confirmed.) Please use the form below if you would like to know more.
