Palace Opera takes its name from having begun in Hatfield Hertfordshire with a performance of ‘Figaro and Other Follies’ in The Old Palace.
Our Figaro is a four-handed romp through Mozart’s The Marriage of Figaro in three scenes lasting about 50 minutes. It has been paired with typical Opera Gala programmes as well as scenes involving a hundred children that we have engaged in workshops and also our unique ‘Auction of Arias’ which is too difficult to explain here but is a fun way for charities to raise lots of money. It also serves a ‘Dinner Theatre’ where the overture and scenes are interspersed between courses.
We also have a one hour Carmen four-hander and staged extracts of The Magic Flute, Cinderella and Don Giovanni in repertoire.
